Chapter of the American Fisheries Society, and Vice President of Xi Sigma Pi the national forestry honor society.Prior to attending Virginia Tech I worked for the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries as a fisheries technician from November 2007 until August 2010. At the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries I worked directly under biologists John Odenkirk and Steve Owens aiding them in day to day operations as well as boat and backpack electrofishing, gill netting, lake fertilizing, and fish stocking. Also while employed with VDGIF I conducted three creel surveys on the Potomac River for
Northern Snakeheads, the Rappahannock and Rapidan Rivers, and Lake Anna in
Spotsylvania County, Virginia. During this time I completed my associates degree in general studies at Germanna Community College in
Fredericksburg, Virginia and was a member ofPhiheta Kappa honor society.
